Evolution: Creating Manager Co-Learning Opportunities

After attending a great training session, do you find yourself thinking that your manager should have also attended? Or do you think there may be a lack of support and alignment with the concepts you just learned? Creating collaborative learning opportunities can help solve this issue.

Outcomes: Participants will learn strategies to create manager and team co-learning opportunities that focus on building relationships to implement learned concepts. You’ll also use these strategies to help increase manager engagement, support, and alignment with your professional development.

Innovation: Best Practices for the Hybrid Work Culture

Join us for an interactive session where we will discuss lessons learned and best practices as we have innovated around and adapted to our new hybrid work culture. We will share challenges and solutions with one another, with guidance and expertise from Jason Brewer.

Outcomes: Participants will understand the challenges of running a hybrid meeting, learn solutions, and takeaway some best practices.

Innovation: Leadership Roundtable for Staff Council Chairs and Vice-Chairs/Chair-Elects

Being a leader can sometimes be lonely. You are expected to have all the answers, but you don’t always have others to share ideas. The Leadership Roundtable will allow Staff Council leaders to learn from one another. Leaders will have the ability to discuss best practices, get suggestions, learn new concepts, and understand how other councils operate.  You will go back to your council energized with new ideas! This workshop is limited to current Chairs, Vice-Chairs and Chair-Elects.

Outcomes: Participants will gain new ideas and best practices for their Staff Council, collaborate with other Staff Council leaders, and make new connections.

Resilience: Emotional Intelligence: Being Happy at Work

Emotional Intelligence is defined as the capacity to be aware of, control and express one’s emotions. It is typically inclusive of self-awareness, empathy, motivation, self-regulation and social skills.

Emotional Intelligence is a powerful tool for effective management, leadership and self-governance. By employing emotional intelligence, we can all choose to be happy at work. In this session, we will discuss emotional intelligence as a tool and strategy that can be learned and participants will take a brief EI assessment to identify blind spots.

Outcomes: Participants will learn to leverage emotional intelligence in difficult discussions and gain tips to anchor and improve emotional intelligence to “be happy at work”.
